August 31, 2023 - VIP Lounge Open Beta
Based on user feedback, we're setting up a customized instance of The Lounge which we're calling the VIP Lounge. Users can sign on from multiple devices at once, remain connected persistently, receive notifications of new messages, and more. Interested users can sign up on our signup page. Please note that registrations are currently being processed manually; we plan to develop an automated web registration system but it won't be ready for a while.

June 12, 2023 - New servers!
We've launched two new servers: plot.jp.irc.scpwiki.com and setting.nj.us.irc.scpwiki.com. Over the next couple of days, all new connections will be directed to the new servers. Most users won't notice these changes. (Users who remain connected continuously may need to disconnect and reconnect sometime before September.)
I don't expect any issues with the new servers, but please email me if you run into any problems.
May 10, 2023 - Welcome The_Spider_Queen, age update
SkipIRC welcomes The_Spider_Queen, our newest network operator. The_Spider_Queen is licensing JS on the SCP Wiki and a chat halfop in #site19.
As of today, our age requirement has reached 18 (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, whichever is greater.) This means that the rolling age increase has concluded.
